E-MAIL SETUP with OUTLOOK EXPRESS

This is for an e-mail address that has been created for you.

First, open Outlook Express

then click on "accounts"

Then "add"

followed by "mail"

Enter the name you would like to appear on your e-mail (as the recipient sees it), this could be an abbreviation or a nickname if you want!

Then click "next"

Enter your e-mail address

and click "next"

Enter mail.yourdomain.co.uk - here's an example:

If your domain name is:
www.fred.co.uk
you would enter:
mail.fred.co.uk here in both of the boxes

Then click "next"

Type your complete e-mail account name here,

then your e-mail account password

then click next - (it will say that you've finished), but there's one more thing that has to be done...

Go back into "accounts"

then click "properties"

Click the "servers" tab then

check the "tick box" that says "Outgoing mail server", "My server requires authentication".

This is very, very important - your e-mail will not function correctly without this!

Click "apply" and you're all done!
